COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to train student to sight translation. Students practice orally interpreting into the target language from a wide range of written documents. They are also acquainted with building/using specialized glossaries to be used as a support in preparing and conducting the translation activity. Emphasis will also be laid on a variety of prose styles related to the word of business in general and tourism industry in particular.
Ce cours propose une introduction approfondie à la science des matériaux, discipline qui étudie la relation entre la structure, les propriétés, l'élaboration et les performances des matériaux. Il permet aux étudiants de comprendre comment les matériaux (métaux, céramiques, polymères, composites) se comportent à différentes échelles — atomique, microscopique et macroscopique — et comment ces comportements déterminent leur utilisation dans des applications industrielles et technologiques.
